EDITING

I've been privileged to inhabit many roles in the editing/publishing world and to work with many great writers over the years (see more here). My goal is to provide you and your work professional level editing, whether you're in the process of drafting, revising, or polishing.

I've written and edited in all genres, including hybrid/experimental, so I'm confident I can offer something whatever you're writing. I can also help if you're working on a project that's more writing-related than creative, such as reviews, essays, or applications. (It can also be academic in nature, as I've a lot of experience there having accrued too many master's degrees over the years.)

Experience level is not an issue, whether you're just starting out or you're far more experienced than I - as many writers can attest, you never stop needing help at some point or another. Having grown up in Malaysia, where English is not the first language for the majority of the population, I also am comfortable with all degrees of English proficiency, and so don't feel shy just because English isn't your first (or second, or third) language.

(note: I'd like to repeat here that I'm looking to work with writers who experience barriers to getting editing support, especially writers who are BIPOC. In compensation, I ask that you pass-it-on however that feels right to you - time, services, money, etc - to whomever you feel is right)
